My mom checked her email & GUESS WHAT?
I'm not going to take Elective Lit, next year! There's not enough pupils taking literature so they can't have an Elective Lit class. UGH! :(
I'm damn disappointed luh.
I'm stuck taking Geography, which I don't really mind, but I'd rather take Literature luh.
DAY FIVE.
We went trekking at Mount Tongariro to get to the waterfall because we were going to abseil down from it. :D Robin, Jordan and Dion was humming the chinese funeral song! LMAO.
We felt very hot and thirsty when we were trekking to the waterfall. So we decided to have a one minute stop to take off some layers, drink, eat some dog biscuits and putting on moisturiser on our face or putting on lip bum on our lips. Ezra was being VERY STUBBORN. His lips were cracking but he didn't want to drink water or put on lip balm. The weather was cooling but hot becase we were wearing 3-4 layers, so we took our fleece off but Ezra didn't. He was wearing 4 layers (if I'm not wrong), gloves and a beanie. Fine, whatever.

Waterfall or some of us called it, fountain. HAHAHAHAHA!! Dion kept on saying fountain instead of waterfall and almost everyone called it a fountain! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! We took pictures and sat at the rocks will Christina was preparing the tools and all those safety things and such. The first person to abseil down was Dion! Me, Gracia, Ducky!, Shalin, Sharavana, Ezra and Mr Lim went down first. OMG! There was these VERY STEEP STEPS like the ones at Bukit Timah. HELL. When we got down, Dion was in the middle of the waterfall waving at us! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! After Dion was Ahmad, Robin, Jordan, Sharavana, Ezra, Me!, Gracia, Shalin, Mr Lim and then, DUCKY!! Ducky actually didn't want to go because she was scared of heights! She totally froze and all of us (except for 1) told her that if she could do the Flying Fox, she could do Abseiling! SHE DID IT IN THE END!!
Oh yes! Did I tell you that during the first night we reached OPC, most of the girls were up on the second floor to play UNO. We asked Ducky! to come up and she said she will train herself (due to her phobia of heights) on the double decker beds. So, when she reached at the top of the bed, she was scared to look down and scared to go down!! We, people on the second floor, was asking her to get down or else we won't play until she comes up. She was half-screaming and half-laughing! All of us motivated her and she went down from the bed and up to the second floor to play UNO with us. After we finished playing, SHE WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO CLIMB DOWN! LMAO!!
okay, back to day five. All of us ate our sandwhiches and we continued trekking back to where we started from. Christina asked us to sing a chinese song, so we sang Happy Birthday in Mandarin. Robin, Jordan and Dion was humming the chinese funeral song again. HAHAHAHA!! WHICH WAS SO FUNNY!! At the end, Jordan, Ahmad, Me, Gracia and Ezra were the first people to finish trekking the rest were at the back catching up! After we finished trekking, we rode the van to go up the mountains to play SNOW!!
I GOT SLAMMED BY SNOW SO MANY TIMES!!! Especially on the face!! It was painful but so fun!!! I slid down the snow and i kept rolling and rolling and rolling. HAHAHAHA!!! IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOO FUN!!!!!!
After we played snow, we went back to OPC to freshen ourselves up.
DAY SIX.
The day we were going to sleep in a cave! BUT FIRST. We did TUBE RAFTING!! Zomg! IT WAS SO FUUUUUNNNNNNNNN!!!!! Our seating arrangement.
Jordan's tube burst before we even started doing the activity, HAHA! He was jumping on it and the tube got poked by a rock and burst. LMAO!
We started to do the activity! It was quite confusing at first luh but since Sharavana was infront of me, I just followed whatever he was doing. Dion didn't even paddle la!
In the middle of the activity, we went through a series of tree branches and Dion's tube burst! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! IT WAS SO FUNNY!! And Gracia was submerged into the water. Dion helped her get out by pulling her helmet, LMAO!
At one point, Robin fell into the water and the water current was so strong, the tube left him and he had to hold Christina's boat and he got himself a free back massage when he was going through the rapids. AHAHAHA!!!
Tube Rafting was such a great experience and I want to do it again!!
We went back to OPC to pack our bags for the overnight stay. Dion told me that we have to pack from 4.30PM to 6.30PM when we only have to pack for ONE HOUR!!! You should have seen me! I was running in and out of the room getting my things! I forgot to bring the gloves, extra clothes and my extra pair of shoes. Gracia too! WHAHA!!
We went to the resource center to check all of our gear stuff and such. A teacher from Nanyang Girls' School called Gracia, Idiot, when Gracia was in the toilet changing.

NY teacher: The idiot is still in the toilet.
PFFFT. SO RUDE. Then when we were going out of the resource center to climb the van to get us to the forest, almost each of us shouted Idiot. HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! So whenever we see the teacher or the group, We will shout Idiot.
So we were on our way in the forest! We had to navigate ourselves to Jo's Cave (yup, that's the name). & when it was our turn (me, Gracia, Ducky! & Shalin) to navigate the group we were assuming that we were at the right place. AHAHAHAHAH!!! We got lost at some point. :D
We were all aiming to get to Jo's Cave before 7PM or else it would be seriously dark and you can't really see anything because it's PITCH BLACK. We reached Jo's Cave around 9PM-10PM because we had our dinner aorund 10plus. We got out our sleeping bags and sat near the fire because it was so FREAKING COLD!!! I have no idea how Jordan and Dion can stand the coldness with their shorts!!! -.-
All of us planned to stay up late and sing some songs, lol! But we didn't. AHAHAHA!!!
I woke up around 2-3 times in the middle of the night and when I looked up, I saw glow worms and when I looked out, I saw STARS! Billions and Trillions of stars! It was amazing! I could hear snores and I felt like I was back at home! Sigh.
DAY SEVEN.
Christina woke us up with a cheerful voice while we were like...ugh. We woke up, packed our sleeping bags and ate breakfast. Me, Gracia, Jordan and Dion went to river to fill up on our water bottle. The water is frrrresh! Ezra tagged along but we didn't really care. AHAHAHA!!! After we refilled the bottles, we went up to the cave, carried our bags and went up the hill to meet the rest of the group members. We peed (LOL) and were on our way back to OPC!! Jordan did an awesome job of navigating us back. Thank you Jordan.!
I had so many cuts-i like!! Dion helped me with the footing and carrying my water bottle and Robin and Ahmad led me through the forest and I led them back! HEHE! THANK YOU GUYS!!!
Ducky! was being a real duck!! She walked through ALL the deep puddles of mud that can go up till your waist while everyone else was going through those nasty plants. WOO DUCKY!!! We were all teasing her, telling her that she was scared to walk on land because there were so many slopes (She hates slopes!). But we all know that she wasn't. HAHAHA!! brrraaaaave.
When we got to the road, we saw a smashed dead Possum which smelt like ikan bilis(anchovies). OMG! So Smelly la. EEEE.
When we reached OPC, we returned all of the gears we borrowed from them and rushed back to OPC to bathe and pack up because we were going to Rotorua!!! My luggage was seriously heavy. :D It's the heaviest in the group la!
When we all "checked out" of the dorm, we went to the canteen to have a special lunch! After lunch, we were dispersed back to our groups and group 2 went to the teacher's lounge to have our very last briefing. Christina asked us three questions!
After she asked us all these questions, we had to give each other our OPC certificates. Robin gave me mine and I gave-who else?-GRACIA!!
AHAHAA. When we were finished with our briefing, group 1 was playing volleyball and after they finished, we all took a group picture as a whole school with Christina and group's 1 trainer, Ally. We hugged and said our goodbyes and board the bus to Rotorua!
In the bus, the driver played Shrek 3. It was a fake dvd so the sound system wasn't really good. I slept and I woke up around the part when the princesses were fighting? LOL. I slept again, and I woke up when we reached the Huka Falls. The water was blue and it's fresh!
After Huka Falls, we were on our way to the KiwiParka Hostel. When we reached there, I stayed with Alicia, Liyana and Gracia. The beds are so bouncy, I started to jump on it! In the middle of jumping, we all heard a crash and ALL OF US (yes, all of us) went outside and looked down (we were staying on the 2nd floor). We saw shattered glass on the floor and Shi Jie's hand had blood on it (Shi Jie, Dion and Ming Hong stayed on the first floor). All of us went down and asked what happened.
The story is, Shi Jie tried to close the window and the glass broke because the rubber wasn't strong enough and the glass wasn't strong. There were blood drippings on the floor. He's okay though!
All of us boarded the bus to eat our dinner at some chinese restuarant for buffet. I sat with Victoria, Ducky!, Shalin, Abigail and Ms Tham. We had a nice chat! The ice cream was gooooooood. I like!
After dinner, we went to this supermarket called Pak'N'Save and Dion was like, "Singapore have Shop'N'Save. Here is Pak'N'Save". LOL!! The girls bought a packet of Pick&Mix Gummies each, packets of Potato Chips, a 2.25 Litre bottle of Coke (I WAS CRAVING FOR COKE!!) and some magazines. :D
When we got back to the hostel, we were supposed to have a party in our room but we spent the night at the lounge, waiting for our (me, Alicia, Liyana, Gracia, Ducky! and Abigail) clothes to dry, watching the guys play pool and watching tv. Desmond is so strong! LOL.
DAY EIGHT.
It was 12plus and the boys were in their rooms while me, Gracia, Alicia, Liyana, Ducky! and Abigail were watching tv. No, only me and Liyana. The rest were asleep. I slept for about a few seconds because Liyana was talking to me. LOL! Liyana and I woke Gracia, Alicia, Abigail and Ducky! up and asked them to go to their rooms and sleep. SO they did and Liyana and I went to the laudnry room and get ours and Desmond's dry clothes out. When we were in the laundry room, Desmond came in and asked me and Liyana if we wanted to eat Maggi with him and Robin and we said okay and went to the lounge and got ready the food. Dion came in and saw us cooking Maggi and so he joined us. We all sat at a table and ate our hot Maggi. So nice! We talked about what we did at OPC.
After we ate, we washed the utensils and went to back to our rooms. Dion went to his room while Desmond and Robin went to our room. & Guess what? Gracia and Alicia was playing UNO cards with Jordan, Victoria, Shalin and Sharavana. HAHAHAHAHA!!! Desmond started to stomp the floor so that Dion, Ming Hong and Shi Jie will come up. UGH!
AND REALLY, Ming Hong and Dion came up. Ming Hong talked to us and went back to his room. He was quite pissed la. DESMOND!!!! Dion stayed in our room and watched and played with us. Liyana wanted to sleep and Dion and Desmond kept on disturbing her. AHAHAHA!!!
Anyway, they played Indian Poker and Dion kept on accusing me of telling people their number. I only told once and it was to Gracia!! In the end Dion asked me what his number was, it was two. But I didn't tell him the exact number.
Dion: What's my number?
Me: Four..
Dion: Four?
Me: minus either one, two or three.
Dion: UGK!.
LOL
We played UNO! and i was the third last to finish. I was just lying down on my bed watching them play and I wasn't planning to fall asleep but I did.
A few hours later, we woke up, brushed our teeth and got ready for breakfast. After breakfast, we changed and took our daypack to get to the New Zealand SkyRider where we were going to take the Luge!!!!
We had to take a cablecar up first. LUGE! OHMYGOD!! IT WAS SO FUN AND SO CHEAP (compared to Singapore). So fun!! Desmond was telling Alicia, me, Gracia and Liyana to go very fast. LOL!! We did! Victoria too!!
We played luge around 2-3 times. We all wanted to take the bungy ride but the school didn't allow. :(
After 3 rides, we left the luge place and took the cablecar down to take the bus which will get us to this place. When we were in the cablecar to go down. I took the same cable car as Alicia, Victoria, Desmond, Dion, Shi Jie, Jordan, and Amos and we played this guess the number game. HAHAHA!!!
The game goes like this, The person who guess the correct number between 1-99 will have to do the forfeit. For guys, they will be smacked at the arm. For girls, the first forfeit would be, you can only wear two layers of clothing at night. Which means you can only were your bra and something covering it. THAT'S IT and you have to do it AT NIGHT. The second forfeit was that you can only eat 1/4 of your lunch. -.-
I got two forfeits. Victoria had one. Alicia had none! pfft.
We were on our way to this place which had the bungy, the swoop and some other activities. I was actually quite hesitant to do the swoop because it was quite expensive. Since Yusof, Rayson and Sharavana was going to do it first, I watched them and I changed my mind and Victoria, Alicia and I bought tickets!! A video when Alicia, Me and Victoria were doing the swoop. Thanks Dion!
After the swoop, we went up this tower to watch Jacob do his free fall. WOO, so noisy!
After that, we went to do the ZORB! OMG!! SO FUN PLEASE!!!! WEEEE! You are in a big round ball with water in it. And the ball will go down a slope and you'll get wet and have fun!!! Okay, it doesn't really make sense but if you watch The Amazing Race, I think you'll understand.
We boarded the bus to get us to the town area where we would be doing our shopping and having lunch! We ate our lunch at the food court because we're on a budget. LOL! The serving was very big! All the girls didn't finish their food except for Victoria! YAY!! WE WERE OFF TO DO OUR SHOPPING.
We went to this shoe shop to see the shoes. Me, Gracia and Liyana got bored so we went off first. On the way, we saw Dion and Shi Jie outside Warehouse. So they followed us to the souvenir shops. In the middle of shopping, Ahmad joined us and left with Liyana because they need to get somethings for their relatives. We went to this shop called JayJays.
I LOVE JAYJAYS!! I bought an ET shirt (which Singapore sells. I don't care 'cause I bought mine from NEW ZEALAND. LMAO!) and a very cute unicorn bag!!
After JayJay's, me and gracia went off to Pak'N'Save. We actually wanted to go to Warehouse but Yusof, Sharavana, Ezra and Rayson said it was closed! BUT IT WASN'T LAAAAA. ASSS.
Gracia bought soooo many chocolates that her hands weren't able to carry all of it, so one by one, the chocolates dropped. Some lady and me helped her pick her chocolates from the floor lah. TSK.
We were actually rushing. Did you know that we ran from Pak'N'Save to Warehouse 'cause we thought we were very late. It's like from KCP to Junction 8. pfft. But when we got there, we were like one of the first to reach? AHAHAHAH!!!

When everyone was in the bus, we were on our way to the Hostel. When we reached there, we saw the Nanyang Girls and the teachers. The idiot teacher was there. LMAO. Then when we got down, the most friendly teacher from NYG talked to us! She's nice and she reminds me of Mrs Ruth Wong. Hahaha. That's a compliment kays.
After talking to the NY teacher, we went to our rooms to relax or pack or bathe. The boys went to the hot pool while most of the girls bathed. AHAHA!!
Victoria and I decided to do our forfeit-We can only wear 2 layers of clothings. "/ I was stupid enough to wear a DRI-FIT shirt with many holes. AHAHAHA!!!
All of us went to the "restuarant" to have our buffet dinner. Since there were only 8 girls, we all sat together at one table since it'll be the last time we're going to eat dinner as a group. There were many laughters which I will never forget. AHAHA!!
After we ate our dinner, Jacob talked to us and we were off to pack our luggage. I changed my dri-fit shirt & just wore my jacket. LMAO! serious. Halfway through packing, I read the magazines I bought and continued to pack and read the mags. LOL!!!
While we were packing, Shi Jie, Desmond, Amos, Dion, Ming Hong, Ahmad, Robin and Jordan visited us. LOL!!! The Nanyang Girls kept on coming to our "territory" la. Alicia said they wanted to see boys. LMAO! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!
While I was packing, Shi Jie read my girly (Dolly & Creme) magazines and kept on touching my things. After I finished packing, he was still reading my magazines and he cam-whored with my camera. LOL!!
DAY NINE-last day!!!!!
After that, Shi Jie went down to the lounge to play pool with Ahmad & someone else (I forgot who). Desmond took pictures with me. LOL! After that, Desmond, me, Liyana and Gracia went to the lounge. Alicia was already asleep. But before we went to the lounge, Gracia had to go to the ladies', so Liyana and I went in whike Desmond waited outside. AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! & we camwhored! NO! Not Desmond, me, liyana and gracia. LMAO!
When we were at the lounge, we saw Shi Jie, Ahmad and AHHH, JORDAN!!! AHAHAHHAHA! They played pool while we watched tv. They joined us and Shi Jie kept on asking me to sit at the other sofa because he wanted to sleep? LOL, I didn't move. AHAHAH!!
Shi Jie: You sleeping ah?
Me: *woke up* uh, no la.

Shi Jie: Let's go back la. So, all of us went to our room.
I thought Shi Jie would go back to his room but he went to our room. So did Desmond and Jordan. Ahmad went to his room.
When we got to our room, I saw Robin sleeping on my bed and Amos sleeping on Liyana's bed. I woke Robin gently and asked him to go to his room to sleep. He went, I think. When I was about to put my hand down on the bed, Shi Jie said he wanted to sleep on my bed. PFFFT. "/ He said he wanted to take a nap, so I was okay and I slept on Liyana's bed.
0330 NZ time.
I woke up and if I moved to my right, I will fall-I had no space. Liyana was soundly asleep so I didn't want to wake her up but I saw my pillow in her arms, so i gently pulled it but she pulled it away from me like as if I was going to steal her money. AHAHAHHAHA!!!! I just snatched it from her but she didn't realise, LMAO. I looked over at my bed and saw Shi Jie sleeping soundly too. I didn't want to wake him up so I got off Liyana's bed and slept at the floor. A few minutes later, Shi Jie tapped me and I woke up. He told me to sleep on my bed while he sleeps on the floor. We exchanged places and I was beginning to sleep comfortably. Suddenly, Shi Jie woke me up again, he wanted to go to his room. LOL! Liyana woke up because Shi Jie shoned his hand phone light at her.
0600 NZ time.
I woke up and saw Gracia, Liyana and Alicia still sleeping. We had to assemble at the bus at 0630 with our luggage. They were really sound asleep!! But I had to wake them up or else we'd be late. I could see Sharavana's, Ezra's, Rayson's and Yusof's shadow walking through and fro at the window.
The four of us got out of the room at 0615 and telling everyone it was 0615 through the windows. LOL! Some of them were still sleeping or just woke up. The four of us were the first people to board the bus!!! WOOO!!! When everyone boarded the bus, we were on our way to Matamata where we would have our breakfast. Everyone slept from the hostel to Matamata. LOL!
At Matamata, I had McDonald's breakfast with Alicia, Gracia, Liyana, Shi Jie, Dion and Jordan. YUM!! After we ate, we walked to the bus and there were many glass pieces. The guys said that there was a gang fight last night. LMAO!!
The bus driver brought Ice Age DVD for us to watch but it wasn't working. -.- So I slept from Matamata to Auckland airport which is a 4 hours ride. LOL!
When we reached the airport, we checked-in our bags and went to the immigration and DID OUR LAST MINUTE shopping. I bought more chocolates and souvenirs. Liyana left halfway with Ahmad because they had to get some last-minute stuff. Desmond replaced Liyana! AHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!
After shopping, we went to Burger King to meet everyone and waited for our gate to open. When our gate was opened, we made our way down to our gate and took pictures!
We boarded the plane from Auckland to KL and I sat with Liyana!! I watched Harry Potter OotP but when the movie was about to finish, Desmond and Dion asked me to play Scramble Dash! with them AND I WON one round! LMAO! After scramble dash, I watched HSM2, License to Wed and The Pussycat Dolls LIVE! In London. I watched The Wedding Singer but I slept halfway through the movie. LMAO!! Desmond kept on immitating mine, Liyana's and Gracia's passport baby pictures laaaaa. SO FUNNY!
When we reached KLIA, we had 2 hours to spare so the girls walked around (there's nothing much about the place) and the guys went to Burger King. After an hour, we met at the monorail and took the monorail to the gate. When we were in the gate, we had our very last briefing with Jacob. We boarded the plane from KLIA to Singapore. All of us fell asleep except for about one or two.
We reached Singapore and we said our goodbyes to each other and hello to our family!
I really miss New Zealand.
I miss everyone who went there.
I miss the late-night washings and gossipings.
I learnt many things about myself that I didn't know I could do.
Nur 'Amirah Jumat misses New Zealand very, very much! :(
I MISS NEW ZEALAND.
DAY ONE.
The 20 students and 2 teachers who were going to NZ met at Terminal 2 at Changi Airport.
There were 8 girls;
When we reached KLIA, we went to the gate and waited for the plane to get us to Auckland. The workers there are so lame. They asked Liyana how Singapore got its name, so Liyana told them the Sang Nila Utama story but the workers said something which was FREAKING LAME, it's not even funny. I just giggled and smiled and walked away.
We boarded the plane and I sat with some guy I didn't know who. I think he's Indonesian-NO, I wasn't referring to Ezra. So I just sat next to him in silence. We didn't speak to one another. Wait, we did. I showed him where to pluck the ear phones in. HAH.
I watched Hairspray and a little bit of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Dinner on the plane was alright.
DAY TWO.
I woke up in the plane and it was 3.30AM, Singapore time. We were on our way to Auckland! :D
I opened my window a little bit and I saw A VERY PRETTY VIEW.
The air-stewardess gave me my breakfast. They gave us a choice of Nasi Lemak or Omelette with Sausage. I ate omelette and I felt like vomitting. It sucked.
When we reached Auckland, we boarded the bus to get us to the Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuit Camp (OPC) and Dion's aunt and uncle was there to welcome him! So nice.
The scenery was nice! They have hills with animals eating the grass. I saw MORE cows than sheeps. But I did see sheeps. :D I took some crappy pictures along the way.
We stopped over at some cafe for Lunch which had a nice scene of a river behind it. You can actually eat at the verandah and enjoy the view. Nice! The ice cream at New Zealand looks very cheapskate but it's very nice!!! The cone was nice la eventhough some of them said they saw a rubbish bin with so many cones inside.
We were back on the road to get to OPC!
When we reached OPC, the moment I stepped out of the bus, I started chattering like no one's business. But I got alright when I stepped into the girl's dorm of the chalet!
We went to the canteen to eat our dinner and the Nanyang Girls were there. Um-yeah, Whatever.
After dinner, we had our briefing and were sorted into our groups.
I was in group 2 with;
DAY THREE.
Our trainer was Christina. We played exciting and team-building games within our groups for the whole day.
There was this game called the log. We had to arrange ourselves by our birth date. Apparently, I am the youngest in the group but I was sitting amongst the Jan and Feb babies. So I had to move OVER most of my group members and they had to move OVER ME!!
There was this Trust Fall game which was very nice. We had to fall back and our groupmates will "rescue" us. Good game!
OH YES!!! There was also this game called the Magic Tie. A game that I will NEVER EVER FORGET. The objective of the game was to send ALL of your group members to the other side of the "river" but only ONE PERSON can wear the tie. So we came up with a plan of piggy-backing 2-3 people. THERE ARE VERY STRONG PEOPLE IN OUR GROUP! :DD
In total, we played 10 games the whole day. We didn't really bond but we were starting to bond. :D
After 2 days, the room is seriously very very very messy. If my dad was there at that point, he would be shouting at us. HAHAHA!!!
